TAPS

Hi

I'm also interested in a test of passive use. I've had a trawl through
the information on Harcourt about the DELV, but while there is a lot
of information about overall aims and standardisation, there is little
information on how the test actually functions. I presume it's a
forced-choice comprehension task, just like the TAPS-R? Could you
possibly let us know how it differs from the TAPS-R (which also tests
the difference between adjectival analysis and real movement)? It
sounds as if the DELV manipulates the semantic properties of the verb,
e.g. resultivity, which sounds like an extremely interesting
development. Perhaps you could provide a link to a resource which
provides more details about the test?

Many thanks
