The Speech Research Team at University College London wish to alert
researchers to extensive amounts of stuttered speech available on
their website. The UCLASS site (University College London’s Archive of
Stuttered Speech) can be accessed at http://www.uclass.psychol.ucl.ac.uk/index_new.htm
, and allows visitors to access recordings of speakers who stutter
along with background information for each speaker and recording.
Where possible, longitudinal recordings have been collected from
speakers aged 8-10 up to at least age 12 (although the actual age
range of speakers is much wider). Recordings have been prepared in
three widely used free formats (Childes, Praat, and SFS). The sample
types available are spontaneous monologues (Releases One and Two),
conversations, and readings (Release Two only). Transcriptions are
available for some of the recordings (either stand alone, time-aligned
or time-marked format). The UCLASS databases are undergoing continuous
accumulation, and Release Three will appear in 2010. Together, the
recordings and software will allow researchers to investigate language
and speech behaviour of speakers who stutter.

Further information regarding the online databases is given in:
