Many may have seen this announcement on LINGUIST already, but in case
there is somebody we didn't reach, Boston University is searching this
year for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Linguistics, with a
primary specialization in language acquisition and a strong background
in Linguistic theory. Details in the announcement below, but if you
know of someone who should be applying and who might not have seen the
announcement, please pass it along. The application deadline (November
1) is coming up pretty soon.


Boston University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of
Linguistics
to begin in September 2011, pending budgetary approval. Requirements
include a Ph.D. in Linguistics, a strong background in linguistic
theory,
primary specialization in language acquisition, and secondary
specialization in some area of linguistic theory. Demonstrated
excellence
in research and in undergraduate and graduate level teaching and
advising
is expected. Candidates should send e-mail to the application email

with the following pdf attachments: a letter of application, CV, and
separate statements of research and teaching interests. Please include
names and e-mail addresses of three referees, and also indicate
whether you
plan to attend the LSA meeting in January. A hard copy of those same
materials, along with three sample publications and documentation of
teaching ability, should also be sent by mail to the address listed
below.

November
