Two Senior Posts at University College London (UCL)

UCL Division of Psychology and Language Sciences Research Departments of 
Developmental Science / Language and Communication
Grades 9 - Professorial
Hours - Full Time
Salary (inclusive of London allowance) Reader: £50,700 - £55,142 per annum.
The professorial salary is negotiable on the professorial scale but will 
not be less than £61,713 per annum.

Duties and Responsibilities
Applications are invited for two posts (Reader/Chair) in Language and 
Communication from individuals with an outstanding research record and a 
commitment to research-led teaching. One post will have an emphasis on 
developmental disorders of language and communication and the other on 
acquired disorders of language and communication.

Post-holders will provide research leadership in developmental or 
acquired speech, language and communication disorders as well as 
facilitating the development of collaborative research across UCL and 
its wide network of partners, including the UCL Institute of Child 
Health, Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, Wellcome Trust Centre for 
Neuroimaging, UCL's NHS Partners and the newly created Centre for 
Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience. Post-holders will be expected to 
undertake and encourage world-class research which enhances and/or 
extends the Division's current research portfolio; to raise external 
funds to support their research programme, postdoctoral research staff 
and PhD students; and to contribute to research-led teaching, especially 
via the development of specialised content for postgraduate and doctoral 
level professional degrees.

Key Requirements
Candidates for these posts will have an exceptional international 
research profile, including a track record of high impact publications 
and substantial research funding, in developmental or acquired disorders 
of language and communication.
