ELA 2012 CALL for papers / appel à communications

The third ELA conference will be held on Dec. 5-7, 2012, in Lyon, France. The main theme of the conference is early language acquisition with a focus on the role of input, in both normal and atypical development.
The conference will encompass research on the following topics:
- Language development before the age of 3: phonetics, phonology, lexicon, morphosyntax
- Input and language acquisition
- Spoken production and gestures
- Crosslinguistic comparisons
- Typical and atypical language development
The conference will consist of plenary lectures, paper sessions and poster sessions. The languages of the conference will be French and English. Selected conference papers, after a blind-review procedure, will be published in a journal or in an edited book.

Abstract Submission procedure
Proposals should be submitted online following the instructions to be found at the following address:

An author may submit a maximum of one abstract as a first author.
Author information (name, affiliation, email address) will be required on the submission website ( <http://www.ddl.ish-lyon.cnrs.fr/colloques/ELA2012/> http://www.ddl.ish-lyon.cnrs.fr/colloques/ELA2012/) but abstracts will be anonymously reviewed. For co-authored proposal, the first author will be considered as contact author. Proposals will be reviewed by 2 members of the scientific committee and notification of acceptance will be sent out starting June 20th 2012.
The anonymous abstracts must be in 12 point Times or Times New Roman font, formatted for A4 or US Letter size paper with margins of 2.5 cm or 1 inch. The maximum length for the text of the abstract is two pages including figures, glossed examples and bibliographical references. A template is provided on our website ( <http://www.ddl.ish-lyon.cnrs.fr/colloques/ELA2012/> http://www.ddl.ish-lyon.cnrs.fr/colloques/ELA2012/). To facilitate the reviewing process, please submit your abstract in English and as a .pdf file if it includes special fonts or as an .rtf, .doc or .docx file.

Proceedings
Conference proceedings will be published in a journal or in an edited book. Speakers will be invited to provide camera-ready copies of their papers after the conference.

Appel à communications ELA 2012 - Version française
La troisième édition de la conférence ELA se tiendra du 5 au 7 décembre 2012 à Lyon, France.
La thématique principale de la conférence est l’acquisition précoce du langage avec une emphase particulière sur le rôle de l’input sur le développement normal et pathologique.
La conférence sera ouverte à des travaux portant sur les thèmes suivants :
- Développement du langage avant 3 ans : phonétique, phonologie, lexique et morphosyntaxe
- Input et acquisition du langage
- Production orale et gestes
- Comparaisons translinguistiques
- Développement typique et atypique du langage
La conférence se composera de conférences invitées, de communications orales et affichées. Les langues officielles de la conférence sont le français et l’anglais. Une série d’articles sélectionnés anonymement par le comité scientifique sera publiée (numéro spécial de revue ou livre)

Un auteur ne peut soumettre qu’une proposition en premier auteur.
Les informations concernant l’auteur (nom, affiliation, adresse email) seront requises lors de la soumission en ligne ( <http://www.ddl.ish-lyon.cnrs.fr/colloques/ELA2012/> http://www.ddl.ish-lyon.cnrs.fr/colloques/ELA2012/) mais les propositions seront évaluées de façon anonyme. Dans le cas des propositions en co-auteur le premier auteur sera la personne référente/contact. Les propositions seront examinées de façon anonyme par 2 membres experts du comité scientifique. Les notifications d’acceptation seront envoyées aux auteurs à partir du 20 juin 2012. Les propositions ne devront pas dépasser deux pages incluant figures, exemples glosés et références bibliographiques. Format des propositions : papier A4, marges 2,5 cm, police Times ou Times New Roman 12. Un modèle est disponible sur notre site web ( <http://www.ddl.ish-lyon.cnrs.fr/colloques/ELA2012/> http://www.ddl.ish-lyon.cnrs.fr/colloques/ELA2012/). Pour faciliter l’étape de révision, nous vous demandons de soumettre votre proposition en anglais et au format .pdf si elle contient des polices spéciales ou au format .rtf, .doc ou .docx.
