The Marywood University Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor for a tenure-track position beginning August, 2014. 


Responsibilities include teaching in the areas of child language, neurogenics, and fluency as well as core courses as determined by the needs of the department; supervising clinical practicum experiences and possible coordination of externships; engaging in research and scholarly endeavors; sharing responsibilities for departmental governance and service. 

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is in the Reap College of Education and Human Development. It offers a five-year program that includes a pre-professional phase (undergraduate) and professional phase (graduate) leading to a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. The Master's Program in SLP is accredited by ASHA's Council on Academic Accreditation. A full service speech-language-hearing clinic is located in the McGowan Center for Professional Studies. 

Marywood University is a comprehensive Catholic university sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and located in northeastern Pennsylvania. 

Qualified candidates will possess a Ph.D., Ed.D., or clinical doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field, have a CCC-SLP, and PA state licensure (or eligibility). ABD candidates will be considered.
