[Lexicog] Chadic progress

I am very busy throughout this summer.

I am nearly finished with my tables of the paradigm of body
components (13 items) for 63 Chadic languages. Then I will begin the
analysis, then I will write an article, and then I will upload both
of those.

It is similar to the initial steps of Ruhlen's work, in multilateral
comparisons, but it has two advantages over that work, 1) all of the
languages are understood to be closely related and in close proximity
(two sub-branches of Chadic are dealt with, which are sub-branches of
Hamitic which are sub-branches of Hamito-Semitic), so a claim of
chance coincidence can not be made in this case. The second
advantage over Ruhlen's work on this particular project is that the
13 item list has a large singular degree of paradigmaticity, whereas
some such as Nichols would probably argue that Ruhlen's work and
other wide ranging comparativists work with sets of correspondences
which lack paradigmaticity.

I am sorry if I do not have time to deal with other issues raised on
this group, I am very busy in these months.
