Resources on pseudocomplements

Greetings, 

I am looking for work on extraposed subordinate clauses associated with 'clausal replacement' pronouns, as in the so-called 'pseudocomplement construction' in a-b below.  I'm actually working on this phenomenon in Hungarian but references on any language would be welcome. 

a) That John was unhappy was clear
    It was clear that John was unhappy.

b) John made that he was unhappy clear.
    John made it clear that he was unhappy.
