HHSS LANGUAGE POLICY

Section 1 OBJECTIVE

A fundamental section of HHSS's rules stipulates that the common
interests of students are protected. ’Common interests’ must be viewed
as all students at HHS being able to make use of information provided
by HHSS. For this reason, HHSS’s working language must be English.
Section 2 GENERAL INFORMATION

The internationalisation of HHS was raised in conjunction with the
Bologna Process. HHSS must also adapt as its composition of students
changes from being mainly Swedish-speaking to becoming a more
diversified student body. The intention is to include students who do
not speak Swedish so that they have the same potential to make use of
information as well as work for HHSS.

In order to achieve this aim, as much as possible of HHSS’s
communication shall be in English. The information channels that are
most frequently used have priority over other channels, including the
ATT-bladet, Student Association portal and events directed at target
groups where there are students who do not speak Swedish.
Marketing materials should clearly state which language will be used
at the event and lecture in question, etc. and language logos must be
used on all printed marketing materials to facilitate communication.
