Comparative Ethnic Studies and Asian American Studies Jobs

Ethnic Studies. The Ohio State University, Department of Comparative
Studies invites nominations and applications for two positions in ethnic
studies at the rank of assistant professor (tenure track) or associate
professor with tenure beginning autumn 2002.  The department seeks 1) a
comparativist with research and teaching interests in theorizing ethnicity
and 2) a specialist in Asian American studies.  Both positions include
responsibility for program development; the Asian American studies position
involves teaching for the Department of English (in Asian American
literature and culture) as well as for Comparative Studies.

Comparative Studies is an interdisciplinary, tenure-granting department
with 16 core faculty and 45 associated faculty.  The department offers a
Ph.D. minor and M.A. in comparative cultural studies; a B.A. with
concentrations in comparative cultural studies, comparative literature,
folklore, religious studies, and science studies; and minors in American
Studies, Asian American Studies, and Latino/a Studies.  Further information
