[Linganth] CFP: Why Will You March for Science

Dear colleagues,

If you’re planning to participate in this Saturday’s March for Science, please consider sending in a brief reflection on the topics below to Anthropology News.  The deadline has been extended to Friday.  This will not be a linganth-specific compilation, but it would be great to have some of us represented.  (I’m strongly considering a sign that says “I’m ambivalent about calling myself a scientist” with a lot of small print.)

Dear Contributing Editors,

I hope this email finds you well. I’m writing to ask if you would circulate AN’s latest CFP (http://www.anthropology-news.org/index.php/2017/04/11/call-for-proposals-why-will-you-march-for-science/) on your various list serves.

We are looking for brief contributions from members—contributions from contributing editors are also more than welcome— of no more than 200 words, reflecting on the importance of anthropology and social science, motivations to march, intersections between the march’s objectives and your research, and the relevance of anthropology to today’s pressing issues. All submissions can be sent to AN at americananthro.org<mailto:AN at americananthro.org>. We’ve extended the deadline to Friday, April 21 at 12 p.m. EDT.
