Hello,
Please share this call for papers for the upcoming SFAA to your network. Thank you!

By 9/29, please send an email to Rebecca.campbell at uconn.edu<mailto:Rebecca.campbell at uconn.edu> if you are interested in participating in a panel at the upcoming Society for Applied Anthropology conference in March 2019 in Portland, OR. The theme/tentative title for the panel would be, “Using Linguistic Anthropology to Improve Education for Minoritized Groups.” Presenters discussing any minoritized groups, languages, and grade levels (K-12 or college) or general education concerns are welcome to participate but must include an applied component, recommendations, or real-world outcomes. Papers on the panel thus far deal with indigenous Mexican languages and Spanish, Latinx K-12 students, and recommendations for improved tabulation strategies and better practices of language measurement during school registration. SFAA’s due date for submission is 10/15.
