I am looking for an instructor to teach two classes in Anthropological Linguistics in the Fall 2020, online and with a combination of synchronous and asynchronous activities to be determined in collaboration with the instructor. For additional compensation, this person will also lead a 4-week module in our basic undergraduate research methods class, in collaboration with other faculty. There are no required on-campus activities associated with this teaching.

The classes are ANTHC 151, Introduction to Linguistics, which enrolls 100 students, and a combined BA/MA seminar in Language and Power, with no more than 20 students.

This position requires the PhD in hand at time of appointment—classes start August 26.

Compensation is at the standard rate for CUNY adjuncts. There is a modest premium for teaching large classes above 80 students.

Anyone interested may contact me atleo.coleman at hunter.cuny.edu with a CV.

Thank you,

Leo
