Call For Abstracts - The SOAS GLOCAL AFALA 2022, The African Assembly on
Linguistic Anthropology 2022
(SCOPUS / ISI (AHCI / SSCI / CPCI) indexed)

Following the worldwide growth of The SOAS GLOCAL, *The Global Council on
Anthropological Linguistics*, and the patent success of the previous
Conferences,
we announce The (SCOPUS / ISI) SOAS GLOCAL AFALA 2022, The African Assembly
on Linguistic Anthropology 2022.

Main Hosts - The University of Nairobi, Kenya and SOAS, University of London
Purpose and Structure - Over 400 scholars globally will gather to present
papers and to engage in progressive discussion on
the Linguistic Anthropology, Language and Society, Sociolinguistics, (and
related fields) of Africa. The SOAS GLOCAL AFALA 2022 is fully Non-Profit,
assisting scholars in impeded economic positions, who require funding to
access the Conference, and who display strong ability in their work. SOAS
GLOCAL AFALA 2022 proceedings are SCOPUS / ISI (AHCI / SSCI / CPCi) indexed
and contribute to ranked and cited publications for all those accepted to
present. The SOAS GLOCAL AFALA 2022 will publish papers presented at the
conference in Top Tier Journal Publication Special Issues.
Location - The University of Nairobi, Kenya
Date - October 19-22, 2022
Theme - * Linguistic Landscapes, Cultural Climates, *symbolizes the
complexity of inter-subjective identities throughout African urban and
suburban centres. These increasingly complex climates have become a highly
fertile ground for Linguistic Anthropological scholarly attention, while
scholars can draw from a range of peripheral yet pertinent fields, to
inform work on these geographical and cultural localities. The SOAS GLOCAL
AFALA 2022 invites work which addresses the complexity of African
Linguistic Landscapes and their Cultural Climates. Papers and posters
should acknowledge and describe processes of Linguistic complexity at these
cultural centres, that is, of African regions, and by those working in
African regions.
