Hello, all --
The Queen Mary Linguistics Department has just announced an opening for a full-time lecturer/senior lecturer in sociolinguistics, broadly construed, to start next September. It is a permanent (read "tenure-track") position akin to "assistant professor." Details are in the ad below. In sum:

"Applications are invited from candidates with substantial research and training expertise in both quantitative and qualitative subfields of sociolinguistics. Specialisations in such areas as language variation, sociolinguistic perception, gender and sexuality, linguistic anthropology, and/or interaction are of particular interest."

This is a great opportunity for newer (and established) scholars with a strong research focus who can blend variationist/experimental and sociocultural frameworks within their work. And who want to relocate to London! Please forward the link.

Please email me separately if you have any questions.

All the best,
Colleen
