Dear colleagues,

Registration<https://forms.office.com/r/Q89RdFqPkt> is now open for the 15th Biennial High Desert Linguistics Society conference (HDLS 15), taking place Nov. 11 - 13 at the University of New Mexico! HDLS is an entirely student-organized conference here at UNM focused on usage-based approaches to understanding language and linguistics. This will be the first hybrid HDLS conference, meaning all presentations will be available to both in-person and virtual attendees. Moreover, we are proud to be able to offer ASL interpretation for all presentations.

This iteration of our conference will host a wide variety of research topics, spanning cognitive grammar, applications of phonetics and phonology, language contact phenomena, multilingualism, language acquisition, and the ways languages continue to evolve. For more information, please see the attached provisional program (subject to change — check our website<https://www.unm.edu/~hdls/> for the most up-to-date schedule). Early-bird registration (available until October 24th) is $65 for students and $95 for non-students.

We'd also greatly appreciate it if you could forward this announcement and the attached documents to your students, faculty members, and any other researchers who might be interested in our conference.

Thank you for your time, and we hope to see you at the conference!

All the best,

Jens Van Gysel, on behalf of:
