I am interested in any references for the following topics: (1)
quantification in Chinese, (2) the so called `plural marker' -men in
Chinese, (3) binding theory in Chinese, (4) specificity effect in
Chinese, (5) definiteness effect in Chinese, (6) wh-movement and relative
clause in Chinese.

Could someone point me to an electronic english <---> japanese
dictionary .

By the way , could someone tell me how is it possible to tokenize a
japanese word to find its translation in a dictionary , I would like
to make a very simple translator to help me understand the meaning of
a text contained in a WEB page .

Thanks

I'd like to find an indexing program to analyse the flood of data i'm
getting thru the mail or when I make a WEB scan

Could someone point me :
--- to a WINDOWS program which does this
--- else to a LINUX version
--- else to the source code of such a program

Thanks

Dear All,

I'm planning some infant speech perception tests using visual reinforcement. It
has been established that fluffy percussionists (drumming rabbits, cymbal
playing bears...) are very acceptable to us when we are six or eight months
old. Unfortunately, such toys are currently unobtainable in the London stores,
either new or as antiques. All they have are "flipping dogs", which are far too
athletic for this purpose.

If anyone should know where I might find a more restrained (battery driven)
creature, I would be most grateful.

With best wishes
Phil Harrison
