Subject:  New important function added to the LOGOS dictionary
 
Dear Web User,
 
We would like to bring to your attention a new and important function, recently
 introduced into the LOGOS dictionary to assist you with your searches.
 
It is now possibile to enter only the root of a term followed by an asterisk (*
)
 to obtain all the relative combinations.
 
For example, inserting  the string cheer* you are provided the following
 results:
 
cheer
cheer up
cheerer
cheerest
cheerful
........
 
This new function is available in both the LOGOS dictionary as well as in the
 search of literary works, a recent addition to the LOGOS Multilingual Library.

Cari Utenti,
 
vi informo che da alcuni giorni e stata introdotta una nuova ed importante
 funzione che vi faciliter` nelle vostre ricerche. Ora h infatti possibile
 digitare solo la radice di un termine seguita da un asterisco (*) per ottenere
 tutti i relativi composti.
 
Per esempio, immettendo "cheer*" si otterr` il seguente risultato:
 
cheer
cheer up
cheerer
cheerest
cheerful
......
 
Questa nuova funzione e attiva sia nel dizionario multilingue LOGOS che nella
 ricerca dei contesti letterali, attiva da alcuni giorni nella pagina della
 biblioteca multilingue.

Subject:  FYI: RP Phonology site at Stirling University
 
 This web site has been designed to teach the basics of the phonology of
RP. We were intrigued at the suitability of the WWW in delivering
phonetic material; special attention had to be paid to sound and to a
suitable phonetic script.
	Although we have done an extensive search of phonetics material
available over the WWW, would it be possible for members of this list to
provide us with some of their recommended phonology/phonetics related
sites. Most searches seem to return computational phonology or lists of
University courses. We would be happy to compile a list of interesting
and useful sites.
