We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

Dear Linguists,

I am looking for references to past or on-going research on evidence
for syntactic generativity, or lack of it, among native speakers of
any language, though I have a particular interest in English. I am
also interested in correlations between education and linguistic
capacity. I'll post a summary to the list if a get a large enough
response, otherwise I will reply to the individual contributors.

Thanks,

Dear All,
I am a senior undergraduate working on a term paper on the use
of particles in Attic Greek. I could use any references from any
Indo-Europ. specialists out there on where I can find any up to date
work on the origin of the Greek particles. I am also interested in
any references to more recent work on particles as found in Attic
Greek (especially drama--my paper, so far, is going to have a passage
from Aristophanes' *Clouds* as an example), e.g., modern work on their
functional, syntatactic, and semantic uses.
The most recent work I have is from 1954, the second edition
of *The Greek Particles* by Dennison. I am planning to post a similar
request on the Classics Discussion. List, but I thought there might be
some good assistance available here. Thank you very much for your
time.

Hej!

Does anybody know if something has been written about the verbs in
childrens narratives? I'm investigating in verbs as semantic fields
and above all in verbs as processes (in accordance with
M.A.K. Halliday). Thanks for any ideas, Isabel
