TEACHING AND RESEARCH FELLOW (REF: A67/96)
 
UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA
 
FACULTY OF ARTS
 
Applications are invited for a Teaching and Research Fellowship
in the Faculty of Arts commencing on or before 31 July 1997. The
Fellowship is being offered for a period of 2 years. The
Fellowship may be held in any one of the following areas: Asian
Studies (focusing on society and/or culture); French Studies
(native proficiency in the French language required); Linguistics
(Australian Aboriginal languages). The successful applicant must
have completed a PhD by the time of taking up the appointment in
their chosen area. They must have a good record in research and
publishing commensurate with age and experience, have
demonstrated ability as a university teacher and the ability to
work in a collegial, academic environment. The ability to
supervise postgraduate research and honours students and the
ability to attract research funding are desirable attributes. The
appointees may be expected to teach and develop units at
different levels of the undergraduate curriculum including
honours, to supervise postgraduate students and to undertake
research. This Fellowship is made available through the
University's Quality Assurance Funds. Recipients will be expected
to undertake both teaching and research, but will not undertake
substantial administrative duties. Applicants with teaching

The Department of Speech Therapy of the
Technological Educational Institute of Patras, Greece,
 
anticipates a tenure track position at the entry level (pending
financial approval.)  The candidate should have a specialization
in Speech/Language Pathology and/or in Neurolinguistics, Language
Disorders or some related area of Cognitive Science.  PhD on
route will be considered.
 
Responsibilities include teaching courses in Speech Pathology,
Language Disorders and Neurolinguistics and participating in
research projects and Institute activities.
