If anyone knows any infomations about the following topics, please email to
<mtong at northnet.com.au>. Your informations will be greatly appreciated.

Is there any Experimental Phonetic investigation done on the Acoustics and
Articulations (i.e., purely physical characteristics) of Cantonese sounds,
such as Waveform Patterns, Spectra and Formants of vowels, EPG
(Electropalatography) or articulatory patterns, Airflows (Oral & Nasal),
Tone Measurements or EGG (Electroglottograph), Glottalisation, and the
"mystery" of Syllable-final Consonants, etc.?

Thank you.

Looking for research done on prenominal adjectival passives (or past
participles) Esp. concerning the modification of these passives. If
you are doing work in this area or are familiar with an article or
book that might help, please let me know. Thanks a million in
advance.

Subject: "SHENG" Mixed Language-Looking for data

On Monday 4/8/97 on "The World" a national public radio show there was
a discussion regarding the mixed language of SHENG, which is a
combination of English, Swahili, German and Latin. This mixed
language is spoken by the youth in Kenya. I am trying to collect data
regarding this topic and asking for assistance with the LISTSERV
subscribers. I would appreciate your comments and suggestions for
further research.

Thank You!

Could anyone let me know if you know somebody who is working on Ko
garu-go, the language which is being used by young girls in junior or
high schools in Tokyo? One of the words "choberiba" is the most
successful new Japanese word in 1996. The word received a prize.
