We'd appreciate your limiting conference announcements to 150 lines,
so that we can post more than 1 per issue. Please consider omitting
information useful only to attendees, such as information on housing,
transportation, or rooms and times of sessions. Please do not use
abbreviations or acronyms for your conference unless you explain
them in your text. Many people outside your area of specialization
will not recognize them. Thank you for your cooperation.

- -----------------------------------------------------------------
Host: Department of Linguistics, University of Ottawa

Theme: *** Challenges of Minimalism ***

On the Way to Chapter 4 and Beyond

Content of presentations:

Versions of Minimalism (1992/3 - 1995) should be applied to one,
preferably more languages. Papers on the languages of South-East Europe
would be highly appreciated. Authors are encouraged to pursue a comparison
between versions of Minimalism and in contrast to earlier stages of the GB
model. They should provide an objective analytical assessment of
theoretical (dis)advantages and empirical justification.

Well-motivated predictions re the yet unwritten Chapter 5 of the
       Minimalist Program are especially valued.

Keynote Speakers:
