Friends and colleagues,

I am responding to the recent inquiry on the list from Johanna
Rubba inquiring about scholarly sources for "bad language". She and all
of us should know that there is a scholarly periodical called MALEDICTA,
whcih has been around for twenty years, with volume 13 due out in July.
I believe that MALEDICTA should be on every linguistic library's
subscription list. Not only is there the periodical publication itself
but, for all of you wwwers, MALEDICTA has a web site. See:
http/www.sonic.net/maledicta. Cheers, kvt
