Hello,

I am currently doing an MA in Applied Linguistics and am working on a
project now on the correlation between Swahili singular and plural
forms and how this relates to Phonetics. I've done some research on
my own but am finding it really difficult. I've been given a list of
words to analyse. If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Holly Weckbaugh

Dear Linguist subscribers,

I am looking for information on the use of the internet/web in
linguistic data collection. I am wondering about attempts that may
have been made to elicit information from a general audience. I would
be especially interested to know of any efforts to gather data on
language use or attitudes.

Thanks for your help. I will post a summary if there is sufficient
response.

Hello,

I need references on linguistcs works on the Mayan languages, anything
from descriptive grammars, text collections, dictionaries, to
theorethical works, preferably within the Principles and Parameters
framework in syntax. Recent works would be most useful. I'll be very
grateful to anyone who takes the trouble to respond to this message,
and will post a summary of the answers.

  Sincerely,
  Rosa Garcia (rjgc at xanum.uam.mx)
