Graduiertenkolleg "Integriertes Linguistik-Studium"


Ausschreibung:

Im Graduiertenkolleg "Integriertes Linguistik-Studium" werden zum
Wintersemester 1998/99 zwei Doktoranden-Stipendien vergeben. Die
thematische Ausrichtung des Kollegs besteht in Allgemeiner und
Theoretischer Sprachwissenschaft sowie in deren Verbindung mit anderen
linguistischen Disziplinen wie der Sprachphilosophie, den
Einzelphilologien, der Computer-linguistik und den relevanten
Disziplinen der Kognitionswissenschaften.

Die Foerderungsdauer betraegt im Regelfall zwei Jahre. Voraussetzung
fuer die Bewerbung ist ein qualifizierter Studienabschluss auf einem
dieser Gebiete.  Bewerbungshoechstalter: in der Regel 28 Jahre.

Skizze eines moeglichen Forschungsprojektes und mindestens einem

ENGLISH EDUCATION AND TRANSLATION THEORY IN TOKYO

The Department of English, Division of Languages at International
Christian University (ICU) announces a tenure-track opening at the
assistant, associate or full professor level.

The candidate must have a specialized interest in teaching English for
academic purposes in an intensive English Language Program and be
qualified to teach comparative studies in English and Japanese with
emphasis on translation theory and semantics.  The starting date is
September 1, 1999, for an initial three-year contract. In addition to
teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate should be willing
to take on administrative responsibilities in the English Language
Program and university-wide committee work.

Requirements: Doctorate in hand in Applied Linguistics, English
Language, Linguistics, or a related field, publications and evidence
of scholarly potential, Japanese/English bilingual
competence. Teaching experience at the university-level preferred.
International experience, administrative experience and interests
desirable.
