An der Philosophischen Fakultt II der Universitt Potsdam ist folgende
Professur zu besetzen:

		A- Professur fr Angewandte Computerlinguistik

Die Professur ergnzt die bereits bestehende A-Professur
Computerlinguistik mit dem Schwerpunkt Formale Sprachen. Die/der zu
Berufende soll das Fach Computerlinguistik in Forschung und Lehre
vertreten. Dabei ist ein Schwerpunkt im Bereich Spracherkennung
wnschenswert. Erfahrung in der interdisziplinren Zusammenarbeit mit
der Informatik und der Einwerbung von Drittmitteln, inbesondere
industriebezogener Forschung , sind wnschenswert.  Habilitation oder
gleichwertige wissenschaftliche Leistungen sind erforderlich.

Die Universitt Potsdam strebt eine Erhhung des Anteils von Frauen im
wissenschaftlichen Bereich an und fordert Frauen deshalb nachdrcklich zur

JOB OPENING

The international research group on the Mental Lexicon, funded by the
Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (Director and
Co-principal Investigator: Dr. Gonia Jarema, at Universit de Montral; Dr.
Eva Kehayia, at McGill University, Co-principal Investigator, and Dr. Gary
Libben, at University of Alberta, Co-principal Investigator) has a position
open for a Post-doctoral fellowship at the Research Centre of the Institut
universitaire de geriatrie de Montreal, in Montreal, Canada.

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D., with a specialization in
psycho- and/or neurolinguistics. The fellowship is a one-year post TO BE
FILLED IMMEDIATELY. Starting date:  August 30, 1999.
Salary:  in accordance with the norms in force at the Universite de Montreal.

Applicants should be interested in conducting cross-language research on
the mental lexicon as part of an international collaborative research
initiative. The post-doctoral fellow will also be expected to take part in
supervision of graduate students working on the project.

Interested candidates should forward their curriculum vitae, a summary of
their doctoral dissertation, a 1- to 2-page research proposal, and two
letters of reference to Dr. Gonia Jarema, Project Director, by February 15,
1999.
