Soochow University, English Department invites applications for the
position of Assistant Professor (or higher ranks) in Linguistics, with a

Subject:  Linguistic Test Engineers; Seattle based corporation

German, Spanish, Japanese, French and English Linguistic Tester (contingent
staff position)/Seattle based corporation

Seeking native speaker with background in linguistics and language to assist
in the testing of cutting-edge linguistic products using natural language
technology.

Job description:
*	Create expected results for linguistics technology and products
	(e.g., grammar checker), based on specifications.
*	Use expected results in comparison testing to find and report bugs.

*	Effectively communicate bugs and issues related to consistency and
	quality of product to team.
*	May be called on to assist in corpus gathering and maintenance
	tasks.
*	May perform directed linguistic testing and communicate results via
	detailed analysis for linguistic developers.
*	May run automation scripts and queries in order to provide reports
	and test data.

Qualifications:
*	Native or near-native fluency in target language.
*	Good judgment and ability to track details carefully.
*	Basic Windows use necessary.
*	General knowledge of personal computers, and the ability to install,
	upgrade and use Word and Excel, email application software,
	and MS operating system(s) preferred.
*	Database experience useful but not required.
*	Associate's degree in Linguistics or Language-related field, or
	equivalent work experience/training preferred.
