Dear Linguist,
I have an inquiry regarding the classic article "Subject and Topic: A New
Typology of Language" by Li and Thompson (1976).
Does anyone know any language(s) that shifted from "subject-prominent" to
"topic-prominent" one(s)? Does anyone know any literature that discusses
this issue?
I would very appreciate it, if you could direct your response to the
following address:

Hola,

Me
Quiero viajar a
<mfeke+ at pitt.edu>.

					Muchas gracias,
