The Department of Computational Linguistics at the University of
Heidelberg is offering the position of a

Scientific Collaborator  (Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter)

in Applied Computer Science in combination with Computational
Lingististics (salary according to BAT IIa/Ib, approx. 70,000 DM
p.a.)

Starting 1 April 2001 for three years (with possible prolongation)


Job Specification:

Teaching programming languages, system architecture, software
engineering in a BA/MA course;
Engagement as a researcher in NLP projects;
Head of the technical administration (purchase, installation and
maintenance of hard and software components).

Requirements:

Academic degree in computer science or in a related field;
Solid knowledge of the technical aspects of computers and networks;
Interested in natural language processing.

Desirable:

Experience in project management and teaching;
Knowledge of German.
