The 20th West Coast Conference on Formal Linguistics
                                 (WCCFL20)

                          February 23-25, 2001

We invite abstracts for twenty-minute talks with a ten-minute
discussion on any aspect of theoretical linguistics.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION:
Abstracts must be at most one page long on a letter-size sheet (8"1/2
by 11"), with one-inch margins and typed in at least 11-point font.
An optional second page is permitted for data and references.  They
must be anonymous.

Submissions are limited to 1 individual and 1 joint abstract per author.

We strongly encourage electronic submissions.  They should have the
abstract as an attachment and the subject header "abstract", and
include all the author information listed below in the body of the
e-mail.  The acceptable formats are PC/Mac MS Word or PDF.  The file
name of the attachment must be the same as the title of the abstract
or a shortened version of it.  For phonetic fonts, either SIL IPA93 or
IPA Kiel should be used.  For any unusual fonts, please attach the
font file.

Author information:
     (1) name
     (2) title of abstract
     (3) area (phonology, syntax, etc.)
     (4) affiliation(s)
     (5) mailing address
     (6) e-mail address

Postal submissions must include 10 copies of an anonymous abstract and
an index card (3'' by 5'') including the author information above.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION:
     October 30, 2000
     (Abstracts must be received by this date)

NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE:
     Mid-December, 2000
