E-commerce Opportunities

My client created and implements innovative technology: an automated
"conversation" with customers who need service and assistance.  My
client's solution has been deployed by a range of leading
e-Businesses. Our solution is centered on the creation of taxonomic
models.  Using these models, oursoftware delivers a dynamic and
user-specific interaction to guide each customer from an initial
online query to the right answer, or at least to the right person or
place to provide an answer.  We are looking for people with strong
competencies in linguistics, knowledge classification and knowledge
engineering, information architecture, usability and Human Computer

DIRECTOR OF USER EXPERIENCE

Location: Cupertino, CA

Responsibilities:
* Directly manage a core team of user experience architects, knowledge
  engineers and linguists involved in developing best of breed user
  experience for customer projects;
* Act as the senior knowledge architect for my client, providing the
  company with overall direction on the creation of user experience
  templates, taxonomies, and knowledge maps;
* Report jointly to CTO and VP of Professional Services;
* Define processes and procedures for delivering an effective customer
  experience in all projects.

Qualifications:
* Proven management and leadership ability at the team level;
* Capable of effective customer interaction;
* First-class understanding of usability issues, human computer
  interaction, of using taxonomies, and classification schemas for the
  purpose of organizing business content;
* Practical experience in AI/natural language processing/information
  retrieval technologies and awareness of the latest trends in these
  areas;
* Experience in Object-Oriented Modeling (UML);
* Hands-on experience building knowledge management systems/	business web
  sites within complex and dynamic domains;
* Excellent understanding of e-commerce and the delivery of content online;
* PhD or MS degree in Information/Library science, AI, Linguistics, or
  Computer Science.

Title:  User Experience Architect
Location: Cupertino, CA

Responsibilities:
· Responsible for modeling the business knowledge of our customers.  Be
  the architect of the Knowledge Maps, taxonomies and templates to
  guarantee a superior user experience;
· Facilitate knowledge transfer from client Subject Matter Experts.
  Identify top level interaction flows and taxonomies;
· Be responsible for the implementation inside Our ESP of a set of
  taxonomies;
· Design and develop a user interaction, using a dialog language, a
  patent-pending technology;
· Participate in the effort of constantly improving our processes and
  best practices based on experience acquired on projects;
· Interface with Knowledge Engineers, Project Managers, Web Development
  Engineers and QA Engineers

Qualifications:
· A successful experience in knowledge-based systems implementation or
  in linguistics, in building taxonomies or ontologies. Sensitivity to
  human machine interaction issues;
· Experience in object-oriented modeling (UML);
· Demonstrated success in projects using content management,
  classification and information retrieval techniques;
· Proven track record of working well with clients and subject matter
  experts (experience as a consultant a plus);
· Ability to quickly become familiar with content provided by customer;
· Ability to complete projects on time and within budget;
· Experience in an AI programming language, such as Prolog, desired.
  Knowledge of a scripting language (Perl, ...) a plus;
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good analytical
  skills;
· Willing to travel occasionally to client locations (primarily US);
· Masters degree in Information/Library Science, AI, Linguistics,
  Computer Science or Human Computer Interaction with at least 5 years of
  relevant experience.


User Experience Designer
Location: Cupertino, CA

Responsibilities:
