Dear Linguist Community
I am interested whether other cases like Korean exist, where we find the
doubling on Subjects in Causative constructions: the matrix subject and the
embedded subject (of transitive or intransitive verbs) are marked nominative
in Korean. Any information related this issue is welcome. Many thanks in
advance.

Dear all,
I will be teaching a basic first-year phonetics course this term, and
have just learned that one of the students is going to be almost
completely blind. He has special software that enables him to transfer
normal class handouts into speech, but the problem is that it may not be
able to recognise the phonetic alphabet (IPA). Does anyone have any
suggestions as to what he could do? Also, if you've any ideas as to how
I could help him visualise things like the vowel diagram, could you
please send me an email.

Thanks,

Satu Manninen.
