The Department of Linguistics at the University of Rochester has a
3-year non-tenure-track assistant professor position, beginning in the
Fall of 2002.  Teaching load is four courses per year, which includes
at least one basic socially-oriented course; starting salary is
$39,500 plus benefits. The successful candidate must have an
established record of teaching excellence, and a strong research
profile.  We are seeking candidates who have strength in a major
theoretical area of linguistics, and breadth in both research and
teaching.  Experience with working in an interdisciplinary setting is
highly desirable. Ph.D. in Linguistics is required.
