Description:

  		Translations/Interpretations Director

An international language services organization located in Dallas, TX
is seeking a Director for its Translations & Interpretations area.
The organization has approximately 300 language centers worldwide,
including 30 in the United States.  The Dallas location is committed
to the highest caliber of professional translation and interpreting
services including:

*	Translation in virtually any language or technical field
*	Foreign language audio, video, and voice-over talent
*	Simultaneous and consecutive interpreting
*	Typesetting and graphic arts
*	Website translation

The Translations/Interpretations Director shall supervise the
translator staff, ensure administrative oversight of all
translation/interpretation projects, and assist with business
development and client retention.  The ideal candidate will be a
highly personable individual possessing the following skills and
qualifications:

*	College degree in a relevant field.
*	Fluency in a foreign language is a plus but not required.
*	Excellent English language oral and written communication skills.
* 	Previous management experience ideally in an educational and/or
  	foreign language service environment.
*	Superb customer service skills and experience.
*	Ability to negotiate and problem solve independently.
*	Strong organizational and leadership skills.
* 	Strong PC and Mac skills, and familiarity with Microsoft software
	applications.
*	Working knowledge of one or more of the following ideally:
	- Trados
	- PageMaker
	- Quark Xpress/FrameMaker
	- FileMaker Pro
	- Adobe Acrobat
	- Adobe Illustrator
*	Authorized to work in the United States.
