Position Announcement
Teaching-Term Appointment

The Department of Linguistics, Memorial University of Newfoundland, is
seeking to make an 8-month appointment as a sabbatical replacement at
the rank of Assistant Professor, effective 1 September 2002, subject
to budgetary approval.  Responsibilities will include teaching upper
level and graduate courses in syntax as well as general introductory
courses.  Qualifications: Ph.D. in Linguistics with a primary
specialization in syntax; a demonstrated record of effective teaching
at both undergraduate and graduate levels; and an established record
of research publications.  Deadline for receipt of applications is
April 26, 2002.
