Description:

Full-time faculty position in

Applied Linguistics with a speciality in TESOL/TEFL

Candidates must have earned a doctorate in Applied Linguistics, TESOL,
or a related field, and must demonstrate native(-like) fluency in
English.

The appointed lecturer will teach English Linguistics (Introduction to
Linguistics, Syntax, Language Acquisition, Phonetics, History and
Varieties of English) and practical language courses, will be involved
in examining at all levels in all degree programs, and will
participate in the academic self-governance of the department.

Salary is on the BAT IIa scale. The post is available from 1 April
2004. The initial appointment will be made for two years. Closing date
for applications is 16 February 2004.
