Meeting Description:

The FIRST Interdisciplinary Conference on COMMUNICATION, MEDICINE &
ETHICS is to be hosted by the Health Communication Research Centre,
Cardiff University.

The conference aims to bring together scholars from different
disciplinary backgrounds involving various medical specialities and
the human and social sciences. A special emphasis will be on the
dissemination of ongoing research in discourse/communication studies
and practical ethics which engages directly with medical
practitioners. Proposals are invited for individual papers, posters,
workshops and colloquia to cover a wide range of healthcare settings
(genetics, primary care, HIV/AIDS, psychotherapy, cancer care,
palliative medicine, nursing, chronic illnesses etc). Abstracts (no
more than 250 words) to be submitted online via website no later than
