Dear collegues,

the TIGER project is pleased to announce the release of the first
version of the TIGER Corpus. This treebank consists of app. 700,000
tokens (40,000 sentences) of German newspaper text. It was
semi-automatically tagged with part-of-speech and syntactic
structures.

For details about the TIGER Corpus, see:

http://www.ims.uni-stuttgart.de/projekte/TIGER/TIGERCorpus/

We provide the corpus for scientific use for free.
