Description:

The Department of Linguistics, University of Victoria, invites
applications for an 8-month position as a sessional instructor,
effective 1 September 2003.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Linguistics with a strong commitment to
research. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in
syntax, semantics, and the lexicon.  Familiarity with minimalism and a
non-transformational theory (e.g., HPSG or LFG), and teaching
experience is preferred.

Deadline for application: 30 April 2003.

The appointment will be within the CUPE 4163 (component 3) Sessional
Lecturers certification.  Applicants for this position will also be
considered for any additional sessional positions available in the
department for 2003-2004.
