Description:
		
Information scientist to lead research in development of environments
and applications for prospective analytics.  Prospective analytics
involve the creation and use of innovative tools and techniques to
project plausible futures based on experience, insight, and available
information.

Minimum Requirements: **
Level 4: A Masters with at least 5 years, or a Ph.D. with at least 3
  years of relevant experience with a strong computer science
  background is required.
Level 5: A Masters with at least 7 years, or a Ph.D. with at least 5
  years of relevant experience with a strong computer science
  background is required.

A demonstrated record of innovation, and experience in leading applied
research projects is also required.  Must have the ability to interact
with clients, prepare research proposals, and help generate future
research directions.  Will be expected to lead research projects,
author publications and presentations, and mentor other staff members.
Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability
to lead interdisciplinary teams, and a strong orientation toward
advancing the state of the science.  Ability to obtain a future DOE
''Q'' security clearance or DoD ''TOP SECRET'' clearance is required.

**Must meet minimum requirements to receive further consideration.

Qualifications:
Must be a creative, visionary researcher with extensive experience in
traditional information science disciplines, and must apply that
experience to the unconventional.  Should have fundamental information
sciences including data management, artificial intelligence, and
software architecture.  Knowledge and interest in traditional
information analysis is a plus.  Advanced technical foundations could
include case-based reasoning, inference or Bayesian networks,
simulation and modeling, and time-series analysis techniques.
