We are pleased to announce the Seventh Durham Postgraduate Conference
in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at the University of Durham on
Saturday 26th June 2004. The purpose of the conference is to provide
postgraduates with an opportunity to present their research.

Abstract guidelines

- Send 3 camera-ready copies of your abstract (2 without and one with
your name and affiliation)
- Length: maximum one A4 page; 1.5 spacing; all margins: 3cm
- Font: Times New Roman 12pt; Title, authorâEuro(tm)s name,
affiliation: 14pt bold and centred
- Paper submissions preferred, e-mail submissions accepted (only as
attached Word document or PDF)

Accepted papers will be allotted 20 minutes for presentation and 10
minutes for discussion. Speakers will also be invited to submit their
paper for publication in the Durham Working Papers in Linguistics.

ICCS 2004, New Delhi, India (December 14-15, 2004) Conference Updates
The International Conference on Cognitive Systems (ICCS) will be held
this year in New Delhi, India on December 14 and 15, 2004.

The ICCS series was started in 1995 with the goal of fostering
discussion on Cognitive Systems, a domain of study that transcends the
boundaries of traditional disciplines. In ICCS 95, and in the
conferences that followed, we saw the coming together of thought
leaders in artificial intelligence, linguistics, psychology,
philosophy, system and control theory, anthropology, sociology, and
neuroscience.

The theme of ICCS 2004 is ''Connected and Self-Organizing
Systems''. We invite you to present original work from theoretical,
experimental and application domains. Topics include, but are not
limited to:

Computational models
Robotics
Neural Networks
Data visualization and pattern recognition
Web intelligence
Organizational theory
Social dynamics
Psychotherapy
Biological and ecological dynamics
