We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

Dear colleagues,

We have fed in our computer data base the text in the Assyrian language
which belongs to the Semitic language group. We have also computed some
texts in Hebrew. So, we have got the phonostatostics data on two Semitic
languages. Do you know any other phonostatistics data on Semitic languages?
Earlier we have reported the list of 137 world languages which we have
computed. Those interested may contact us at

Looking forward to hearing from you soon,

Yours sincerely,

Yuri Tambovtsev

Dear LinguistList colleagues,

Is there any data on the phonostatistics of Berber languages? Most of all
we are inrerested in the frequency of occurrence of speech sounds in world
language. Was there any article on the phonostatistical data of phonemes in
any Berber language published? I failed to find any. We have computed some
137 world languages to obtain the frequency of occurrence of their speech
sounds. Looking forward to hearing from you soon to:
