Description:

The Department of Linguistics at the University of Connecticut is seeking
applications for a tenure-track position in Semantics to begin the fall semester
of 2005, at the Assistant Professor level (Search # 05A279). We are interested
in a candidate that will interact well with current faculty members in the areas
of semantics, syntax, language acquisition, and phonology. Applicants should
have fulfilled all the requirements for the Ph.D. in Linguistics by August 22,
2005 with a specialization in Semantics. The successful candidate will teach
courses in the area of their specialization at the graduate level, as well as
more general linguistics courses at the undergraduate level.

Applicants should send an application letter, CV, at least three work
samples, and teaching evaluations to the address below.  They should also
arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent to the same address.
Screening of applications will begin January 15, 2005. Applications will be
accepted until the position is filled.
