Faculty Positions at IGSE

International Graduate School of English (IGSE) in Seoul is looking
for an English-speaking teacher for September 2004.


I. Number of positions: 1 (Full-time instructor)

II. Qualifications
1. Applicants must meet minimum teaching experience
   requirements. (Please inquire before you apply at jkim at igse.ac.kr.)
2. Must be qualified for E-1 visa status or have F-4 visa
3. Preferred candidates are those who have master's degree or higher
   in the following areas: English / CALL / Theory and practice of ELT
   / ELT materials / TESOL
4. Korean nationals with native-like fluency in English are entitled
   to apply for the position.
* Unqualified applicants will not be considered.

III. Required Documentation (in English)

1. For all applicants
- Application form (1 copy, download form from IGSE homepage)
- Certificates of graduation and transcripts from
  undergraduate/graduate school (Photocopies)
- Resume
- Evidence of previous employment at schools
- Elementary, secondary schools, colleges and universities (not
  including institutes)
- Teaching experiences without documentation will NOT be considered
- Should show date, title, and the number of teaching hours per week
- Reference letters are NOT considered as evidences
- List of Research Publications (1 copy, download form from IGSE
  homepage)
- Master's thesis (1 copy each. The title of thesis should be included
  in the List of Research Publications.)

2. Applicable to relevant applicants
- Doctoral thesis (1 copy each)
- Articles and books published within 3 years (1 copy each)
* The titles of thesis, articles, and books submitted should be
  included in the List of Research Publications.
- A copy of passport (Non-Korean nationals), or A copy of visa or
  alien registration card (Non-Korean nationals currently living in
  Korea only), or Korean registration certificate (Korean Nationals)

IV. Schedule

1. Deadline for Submission of documents: Friday 18:00, March 19th, 2004

* The schedule is subject to change without prior notice.

V. Working Conditions
1. Teaching load: Minimum 12 hours per week
2. Overtime pay: 30,000 won per hour
3. Salary: 2,500,000 won (Salary of Ph.D. degree holders is
   negotiable.)
4. Housing: Studio provided (or housing fee supported)
5. Regular participation in faculty meetings
6. Active collaboration with faculty for course & curriculum
   development
7. Student advising (advising stipend paid during semesters)
