Description:

VACANCY

Research Associate

at SFB 471, Fachbereich Sprachwissenschaft, Universitaet Konstanz;
from 1 August 04 - 31 Dec 05;
at salary level:  BAT Ib/IIa;

for work on a research project on Finiteness: Typology and Diachrony.

Requirements:
PhD and further publications; background in comparative and historical
linguistics; theoretical awareness; some non-IE expertise.
Exceptionally this position can also be filled at pre-doc level, if
the thesis work is well advanced.

It is planned to get this research programme extended beyond the end
of next year: helping to prepare a future grant proposal would be part
of the job.  If successful, this position could be extended for
another 3 years.
