Provalis Research is pleased to announce the release of QDA Miner
v1.0, a new text management and qualitative data analysis software for
Windows.

QDA Miner is an easy-to-use text management and qualitative data
analysis software package for coding (tagging) textual data,
annotating, retrieving and reviewing coded data and documents. The
program can manage complex projects involving large numbers of
documents combined with numerical and categorical information. QDA
Miner also provides a wide range of exploratory tools to identify
patterns in coding and relationships between assigned codes and other
numerical or categorical properties (coding sequence analysis, codes
co-occurrence analysis, clustering, 2D and 3D multidimensional scaling
plots, proximity plots, correspondence analysis, heatmaps,
etc.). Documents are stored in Rich-Text Format and support font and
paragraph formatting, graphics and tables. Documents may be edited at
any time without affecting existing coding.

QDA Miner can import and export documents, data and results in
numerous file formats (MS Word, WordPerfect, RTF, HTML, MS Access,
Excel, Paradox, dBase, etc.). It also provides unique integration with
advanced quantitative content analysis, text mining (WordStat) and
statistical analysis (Simstat) tools allowing an easy combination and
integration of qualitative and quantitative methods.

QDA Miner is an ideal companion to WordStat, our quantitative content
analysis and text-mining add-on software. It allows one to control the
text analysis process by restricting it to specific sections of
documents or by performing text comparison between document sections
or coded segments.

For more information see:

           www.simstat.com/QDAMiner.htm

Please note that a maintenance release of WordStat, our content
analysis and text mining software, has also been released. This
version adds support for QDA Miner data files and coding
features. Existing users of WordStat 4.0 can upgrade for free.
Information on WordStat can be obtained from:

         www.simstat.com/wordstat.htm

The retail price for QDA Miner is $355 ($255 for academic users).
However, until March 31st, the program is available at an introductory
price of $295 ($195 for academic users). Special prices are also
available on QDA Miner bundles such as:

    * QDA Miner + WordStat - retail $645 (academic $425) - Until March
31st, $525 (academic $195)

    * QDA Miner + WordStat & Simstat - retail $875 (academic $595) -
Until March 31st $735 (academic $495)

    * QDA Miner + WordStat, Simstat & MVSP - retail $1095 (academic
