Description:

The Department of Linguistics at the University of Illinois
Urbana-Champaign,has a tenure-track opening for a full-time Assistant
Professor of Linguistics, with specialization in Computational
Semantics.  The appointment will start August 16, 2005.	Candidates
should be prepared to teach both computational and non-computational
courses in semantics, and to teach at both the graduate and the
undergraduate levels. Salary commensurate with experience.

Theideal candidate will be someone whose research interests complement
and build on existing strengths of the department and who is eager to
engage with the students and faculty in the broader linguistics
community at UIUC.

The successful candidate must have completed all the requirements for the
Ph.D. degree.  For full consideration, applications should be received by
November 30, 2004. Candidates are requested to submit CV, sample
publications, teaching evaluations (if available), and arrange for three letters
of recommendation to be sent to:
