PhD research position at the University of Goettingen
We are pleased to announce a research position at the English department,
University of Goettingen (Germany) to be filled by April 2006. The successful
candidate shows proven interest in topics in semantics/pragmatics; additional
interests in morphology or corpus linguistics are a plus. The position requires
teaching of one class per term at the undergraduate level. Courses at the
department are taught in English, hence very good English is necessary. Payment
is at the German BAT IIa/2 level (monthly minimum of ca. 1370 Euro with
additions depending on age and familiy status).
The new member of our department will have the opportunity to write a PhD thesis
in collaboration with the members of the department. The department of English
at Göttingen hosts a lively group of ambituous PhD students and researchers who
will be open for discussing your research topics.
The position is limited to a 3 year contract with possible extension of another
2 years. The university of Goettingen is an equal opportunity employer and
