Description:

Position:            Naming Consultant (Mid Level)
Department:      Naming group
Reports to:        Managing Director, Naming

Linguists are encouraged to apply for this position.

Overall Responsibility:
To successfully manage the full range of naming assignments.  This will
include working with the Naming Director, senior consultant and other
members of the naming team to develop strategic parameters and project
direction.  To create impactful and innovative brand names and manage them
through the trademark and URL pre-screening process.  To understand the
"big picture" in branding and take into account how the product's Name will
work when marketed to the public.  To continue to raise the profile of
'Naming' inside and outside the organization.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- To be a client contact and to prepare and make client presentations in
   coordination with the Naming Director and Senior Consultant that
   successfully communicates the naming needs and strengths to the client.
- To take ownership of the product's verbal identity (i.e. writing tag lines,
   creating a brand voice, present names in the context of brand stories).
- To understand our clients' business and its culture.
- To help develop increased client business with existing and new clients.
- To coordinate with other U.S. and international naming offices
- Project management and cost control

Skills and Attributes
The Naming Consultant role requires a person who has a good business sense,
has a strategic and creative mindset, thrives in a team environment and has
the ability to work with little supervision. Strong creative writing skills
are a must.  The candidates should also feel comfortable participating/facilitating
and/or leading new business pitches and presenting to clients (at the
senior/executive levels) which requires strong communication and
presentation skills.

Qualifications:
- B.A. degree
- Minimum 3 years experience in marketing or marketing related field
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Knowledge of foreign language/s, a plus
- Team player
