Re: http://linguistlist.org/issues/16/16-884.html

Maybe the question is, what's a better gauge of language health, language
purity or language attitudes?

Policing how people speak may be counterproductive. It may annoy young
Icelanders who are simply trying to communicate in the clearest way they
can. If Icelandic becomes associated with annoyance, that might be a bigger
problem than English loanwords.
